Green CSCS - Health and Safety SCQF L4

Help keep your construction staff safe with this leading qualification. Construction sites aren’t by nature the safest places in the world. But there’s no reason why with some training, they can’t be made as safe as they possibly can be. The SQA SCQF Level 4 Award in Health and Safety within a Construction Environment has been developed for learners working in – or wanting to work in – the construction industry, and will give them the knowledge to undertake their role safely. The qualification has also been designed so that learners who successfully complete it and go on to complete the CITB Operatives Health, Safety and Environment knowledge test will have fulfilled the knowledge needed to apply for the CSCS Labourer’s Card. Topics include: Knowledge of common hazards and risks in a construction environment Safe manual handling practices Working safely at height Working safely around plant and machinery The importance of effective teamwork and communication in ensuring safe working practices are followed in the construction industry Theory booklet with practice questions are sent upon booking to allow for practice and understanding before course date. Learners gain further theory within the classroom before sitting a touchscreen test at the end of the day. Upon successful passing of this class, learner will gain the SCQF Level 4 in a Health and safety in a construction environment certificate from the SQA no later than 10 days after the course. Learners can then book an operative test at their local Pearson test centre and will then be able to apply for their Green CSCS card that is valid for 5 years.

Please be aware that no refunds are given. If you cannot make your course date we can discuss a reschedule if you get in touch no later than 24 hours before the start date. Any cancellations/no shows after this time frame, it will be at the discretion of the centre if a reschedule can be offered.
